AREVA and the Indian Institute of Technology Bombay Sign R&D Fellowship Agreement

Strengthening its collaboration with the Indian scientific community, AREVA signed today a fellowship agreement with Indian Institute of Technology Bombay.
Under the agreement, AREVA has committed to support doctoral student fellowships for R&D projects in nuclear reactor production and design, nuclear fuel cycle products and services,, renewable energies, and energy storage. AREVA will support the scholars and help them connect with the international scientific community working in renowned R&D laboratories and universities worldwide.

As a world leader in the development of low-carbon energy technologies, we are committed to sharing our expertise in nuclear and renewables with our Indian partners” said Mr. Luc Oursel, CEO of AREVA.
“The agreement with AREVA will benefit students undertaking research in the area of energy at Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, and has the potential of strengthening scientific sharing and learning between the two organisations”, said Prof. Shiva Prasad, Dean (Academic Programmes) of IIT Bombay.
As part of AREVA’s global strategy for medium to long term R&D development in nuclear and renewables, these R&D projects for the fellowship will be finalized in the coming months.
