Charles Hufnagel is appointed Senior Executive Vice President, Communications.
He reports to Luc Oursel, President and Chief Executive Officer of AREVA, and is a member of the AREVA Executive Management Board.
This appointment is effective since October 22, 2012.
Charles Hufnagel holds a Bachelor’s Degree in History and he is graduated from the grande école for political science IEP in Paris. He began his career in 1998 in the Communication Department of French electric company EDF, where he was in charge of nuclear issues. In 2001, he joined the AREVA group, where he has held various positions in the Communication Department, becoming head of the Press Office in 2003 and taking over as director of institutional relations in 2006. In 2007, he was appointed as the Group’s Deputy Director of Communication. Beginning in June 2008, he represented AREVA in Abu Dhabi and subsequently in South Korea. He left the group at the end of 2010 to take up duties as communications advisor to the staff of Mr. Alain Juppé, initially at the French Defense Ministry and later at the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
