NYSE Euronext welcomes AREVA on its European market

Paris, 30 May 2011 – AREVA, a global leader in solutions for low-carbon energy production, today celebrated the listing of its ordinary shares on NYSE Euronext in Paris.
Created in 2001, AREVA provides utilities with solutions for CO2-free energy production. AREVA (ticker symbol: AREVA) was listed on the regulated market of NYSE Euronext in Paris following conversion of the Group’s outstanding investment certificates and preference shares into ordinary shares. All of AREVA’s ordinary shares were then admitted to trading, and at the opening bell they changed hands at €30.16 per share. With 383,204,852 shares comprising the share capital, market capitalisation on the date of admission totalled €11.6 billion.

On the occasion of the listing, Gerald Arbola, Chief Operating Officer of AREVA, rang the bell marking the start of European trading on NYSE Euronext, in the presence of company employees and the NYSE Euronext Listings team.
