Arrival of used nuclear fuel from Italy at the TN International railway terminal in Valognes (France).

Two casks of used fuel from the Italian storage site of Avogadro in Saluggia (Italian Piemont) arrived at the Valognes railway terminal serving the AREVA La Hague plant on May 10, 2011 at 12:25 pm.
The used nuclear fuel will be treated to recover valuable materials and to package the ultimate waste for return to Italy.
