Preparation of the eleventh transport of nuclear vitrified waste to Germany

The eleventh transport of vitrified waste from France to Germany is in the preparation phase.
The road transfers of eleven casks between AREVA La Hague plant and TN International railroad terminal located in Valognes are currently in progress.
As for the previous shipments, this transport is realized according to the commercial contracts signed between the German power companies and AREVA, to the intergovernmental agreements concluded between France and Germany, as well as to the French law requirements regarding the return of nuclear waste to their country of origin.
A new press release will be issued upon the train departure from the railroad terminal in Valognes.
