Departure of the 12th shipment of vitrified waste to Japan

On February 5th, 2007 AREVA NC announced that the route to be used by the ship and the approximate date of arrival in Japan would be released following the departure.
The Pacific Sandpiper, carrying vitrified waste back to Japan, has left Cherbourg – France – yesterday February 8th, 2007 at 6:15 pm local time, and will transit to Japan via the Canal of Panama.
She will arrive in Japan during the second half of March 2007.
