Spent fuel coming from the Netherlands arriving at the Valognes COGEMA Logistics rail terminal

A shipment of two casks of spent fuel (TN 17) left the Borssele nuclear power plant (Netherlands) to the COGEMA La Hague reprocessing plant, on June 9th 2004. This transport is expected to arrive at the Valognes railway terminal on June 11th from 9 am.
This transport lies within the context of the 1993 contract signed between EPZ and COGEMA, for the reprocessing of spent fuel from the Dutch nuclear power plant.
This operation strictly conforms to national and international regulations.
