8 casks of spent fuel from German nuclear power plants arrived at COGEMA LOGISTICS railway terminal in Valognes on December 11th, 2003, at 13h30 pm.
The fuel elements will be stored at the La Hague pools for cooling, and will be then reprocessed to recover valuable materials and condition the final waste for return to Germany for disposal.
