Spent fuel coming from the Netherlands arriving at the Valognes rail terminal

A shipment of spent fuel (1 TN 17cask, containing 7 assemblies ) left Borssele nuclear power plant (Netherlands) for COGEMA La Hague reprocessing plant, on January 29th 2003.
This transport is expected to arrive at the Valognes railway terminal on January 31th from 9 am. This transport lies within the context of the 1993 contract signed between EPZ and COGEMA, for the reprocessing of spent fuel from the Dutch nuclear power plant.
This operation strictly conforms to national and international regulations.
