Return of the fifth transport of vitrified residues from France to Belgium

The fifth transport of vitrified residues from France to Belgium, announced by COGEMA, SYNATOM and ONDRAF on September, 18th, 2002, is scheduled to leave the railway terminal in Valognes (France) today and to reach Mol station (Belgium) on September, 25th, 2002.
Upon its arrival in Mol, the cask will be loaded on a specific road trail to be transfered to the BELGOPROCESS storage facility in Dessel. These cask and canisters have already been subject to the regulatory and contractual controls allowing their transport from the COGEMA La Hague reprocessing plant.
