Two casks of spent fuel from German nuclear power plants arrived at the Valognes rail terminal serving Cogema La Hague on April 23.
The fuel elements will be stored at the La Hague pools for cooling, and will then be reprocessed to recover recyclable materials and condition the final waste for return to Germany for disposal.
